If my blog is a book, it would have turned yellow and dusty. And probably missing. Haha.

So I'm here to inject life once again! Yeayea. Hmmmm let's talk abt my take on the Chc saga.

Chc is more than a church to me, it's a family, a place where hearts are united and lives are shared. This is a place I found my being, discovered self. This is the place that pastor kong has fathered me, besides my abba father. We live in a generation where our parents are still stuck in the traditional way of parenting, providing pocket money and a few nags here and there. In my view, our parents, or maybe my parents, didn't really parent me, but simply played their roles as dutiful parents who ensure food and education for me. Parenting requires the total development of a child. But nobody talk to me about moral values, character development, believing in who I am etc before I came to Chc, a place I called home. My views on such issues were simply based on my very own self-conjured view of things and I guarded myself with my own effort called self-discipline. Though I was an exceling student in school and maybe a role model, I never had one.

When I first came to Chc, honestly, I was overwhelmed by the presence of God as a p6 student! I teared uncontrobly and I duno why. I just knew that someone loves me very much. I backslided and came back a few years later, n I realised I don't really like how things were done when I was abit older. Everything felt so commercialize and modernized, which made me felt uncomfortable. I dun understand why pastor's wife had to be a singer, why must I give, why must I attend cg, why must I buy the $10 bible study book, why and more whys. I started to feel that maybe this is not the place.

To give God a chance, or rather myself a chance, I got myself to commit fully to all the church activities for a month, and therafter evaluate and decide to stay or leave. So I was fully immersed for a month and this one month changed my life totally. I realised this church is not a church which u can understand and grasp just by being an on looker. Like what ST said in the headline: not an usual church. U can only experience the richness and the life of it when u consider yourself as a member of this place. I stayed not bcz of any friends, but simply for the word of God, which pastor kong explained and expounded on every verse so clearly and make it so applicable for me. I would never know the bible at such deep level if not for pastor kong.

Pastor kong is not just my pastor, he is my father, my role model, my brother and my friend. Though there might be external or even internal dispute abt him, I choose to be loyal to the man who fed me, taught me, guided me and lead to self-actualisation. Comments against pastor kong on fb hurt and offended me just like how u would too if someone said the same to your own family members. People simply don't understand what Chc means to the 33,000 people, the people in Asia and the people in the world. Like one fb post says, Chc needs pastor kong, Asia needs pastor kong. Likened to avatar, he is simply the tree of the community.

We are not promoting idolism or any personal fame here. But simply, we promote unity and gratefulness. I believe many are given the opportunities to serve like pastor kong, but they chose to live a more comfortable and safe life. Pastor kong simply obeyed.

So if u are on-looker reading this, I welcome u to come join us and experience this family together before u cast any judgement.

If u are among us and not for us, I encourage you to stir up your gratitude and believe tgt with us.

Pastor kong and Sun will always have my support. I love this house.
