continuing the surprise call mentioned in job hunt finale 2..
called back PwC...

lady: "oh.. erm (sounding paiseh and lost for words over the other line) actually theres not a new position. its the orginal position. but now nothing alr, cause just now there might be some changes to the decision.:
me: ............
hello?!?! pls check first and dont give ple false hope like that.
anw still abit apprehensive abt starting work on tuesday. but do i have much of a choice?
ok away from that. lets talk abt Ruth! todays sermon on Ruth reminded me of my grandma! and for the 1st time in church, i prayed for my grandma!
of cz my grandma is not so hip that she calls herself Ruth, but she has all that it takes to be a Ruth. she came from a non-christian family and wasnt a believer before she got married. but since my grandfather's family has a heritage of christianity (my great grandfather was a pastor who started a church in China long time ago! cool isnt it!?!), she believed and became on herself
too. im not exactly sure abt her relationship with her mother-in-law, but she is an awesome wife, mother and grandmother! my mum says she never ever raised her voice at her children (she has 9 of them) and is always very submissive to her husband. she is a simple woman with simplicity of heart. she is always contended with what she has.
what amazed me and touches my heart is her love for God! being a 82 year old lady, she goes to church every sunday without fail! she lives in malaysia in some kampong place where the church there is a few streets away from her house. she would faithfully attend all the events (sometimes she would call and tell us what freebies the church gave her during mothers day, xmas etc) even though she might not understand all of the sermons. the sermon preached in the church is a mixture of my dialect, chinese and some other dialects. she doesnt read the bible cause she is illiterate. but she prays everyday! one time when she was in spore, i asked her how and what does she pray about everyday, and she said that every morning when she woke up, the first thing she does is to pray on her bed! and she would pray for the whole family, from sons to daughters to grandchildren and to great grandchildren, for peace and protection in the family, and salvations to those unsaved in the family! wow! i was so moved when i heard this. sometimes i can have people telling me excuses upon excuses for not coming to services and not disciplining themselves to prayer. but a 82 year old lay does that everyday and every week!
my grandma is such an awesome lady! sometimes when she smiles, i can literally feel that she's a God-sent angel. even though she might look old and have a fragile body, her spirit and the attitude she carries with her sometimes put young people to shame. i love her radiant smile and the moments she laugh out loud showing her beaming rows of dentures. always look forward to her coming to Spore. but its realy quite hard for her to travel 8hrs from home to spore all alone now due to some walking difficulties. =(
i wish she'll be there for my wedding =)

grandma with her spore daughters. middle one is my mum!
